The 2012 presidential election ran for a long tie. With a big win, Barack Obama comes out on top for a second term. Most people thought Mitt Romney would win.

On December 14, 2012 shooter Adam Lanza killed about 26 elementary school staff and students at Sandy hook elementary school in Connecticut. Sources say that he shot 150 rounds during his shooting spree. He also killed his mother with four shots into the head before heading the the school. After, Mr. Lanza committed suicide shortly after. Many families were left in devastation.

This story is significant because its a big massacre of innocent teachers and students. Its significant because it shows that our rights to bare arms should be re-evaluated and have limits.

When i first heard about this i cried. Its upsetting to know that poor innocent 7 year old children were killed. Also that teachers sacrificed themselves just to save them. This Adam dude is messed up and has some serious issues. I really hope this incident is taken into consideration when our government re-evaluates the rights to bare arms. I want our country to be safer to live in.

2012 Year in Review

Gabrielle Douglas Website

Gabrielle Douglas is an olympic gymnast in the 2012 Olympics. She is a 16 year old high school student who was the first african american to win the all round gold medal.She was also the 1st Female Gymnast to posses both the All Around Title & Team Gold within the same Olympiad. 

Her story is an inspiration to me and many people because she set so many records in the gymnastics part of the olympics. She also inspires me because she is only 16 years old, my age and she settled her dream! She is such a sweet girl with a big heart and she is such an inspiration!
